The Team

Producer and Costume Designer – Emma Kinsey

emma TI

I am the Producer and costume designer for Twisted Ivy Productions. I have never taken on the role as producer before so I am stepping into new territory. As producer, I will oversee all aspects of the production up until the opening night. I will manage our budgets and ensure the appropriate funding will be taken place. The director and I will work closely together to guarantee deadlines are met and our production timeline will be followed throughout the process.

I am also taking on the role of costume designer. During a production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night I was part of the costume team and found that I had a real passion for designing and managing costume. I am looking forward to working on our productions and producing exciting and original costume ideas.

Director- Elpis Papadopoulou

Hope- TI

I am the Director for Twisted Ivy Productions. This is the first time that I am taking on this role and I am really excited about it! As a Director I will work closely with everyone in our Theatre Company – the producer, the performers as well as the creative and production teams – in order to create a performance that connects with the audience!

Stage Manager- Heather Maskill

TI - Heather

I’m stage manager for Twisted Ivy. I’m pretty new to stage management as this will be my second role- my first was with The Lincoln Company’s production Bedroom Farce in Louth. My job is to liaise with everyone that helps us out- technicians, props and costume, directors and the company. I also make sure that things run smoothly both on the day and in rehearsals. I look forward to calling the show!

Writer (Performer)- Kay Moseley

TI - Kay

I am the writer for this Theatre Company. I have always been interested in writing and have been writing scripts and small stories since I was a young child. I am really excited to have this opportunity to make a script, which will be performed at the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre in May. One thing I love about scripts is the ability to write and then watch as it is transformed and brought to life on stage and I can’t wait to see our final product.

Lighting and Sound Designer (Performer)- Laura Cooke

Laura- TII am the lighting and sound designer and a performer for Twisted Ivy Productions! I have always loved performing, and have previously been in a production of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night at the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre in 2014 (as the Priest), along side that, my main job in the production was as the lighting and sound designer. I thoroughly enjoyed both roles, but have gained a keen interest for lighting and sound design.  When deciding on lights and sounds for shows, If I choose a particular light, I always make sure that I have a specific reason for picking it and that I can back up why I have chosen to use it; same for the sound. I’m really looking forward to working on our first production and seeing the final outcome!

Set Designer and Props Manager- Winona Makanji

Winona TI

I am the set designer and the props manager of the company. Whilst in the early stages of the rehearsal process, my role consists of creating and designing multiple set design ideas, being in close communication with the director and the other designers in the company such as: lighting and sound designer and costume designer, to ensure the details of the set create a unified atmosphere for the interpretation of the play. When the set design is finalised, I then begin the process of turning the drawings and miniature sculptures into the creative, physical context that will serve the narrative of the company’s production.

‘All the scenery, furniture and props the audience sees at a production of a play make up the set design. The set designers job is to design these physical surroundings in which the action will take place.’ (AACT, 2015)

Marketing (Performer) – Emily Jeffs

Emily- TI

I am taking on the role of marketer alongside my co-worker Chloe. I decided to take on this role as well as perform in the show, as I have never had the chance to be part of a marketing team before, and I wanted to know more about what it entailed. I believe this is the perfect role for me as I am a people person, as it’s all about approaching people on social media, calling companies on the phone and creating/making lots of different posters, leaflets etc. Although I’ve always enjoyed performing on stage, I also enjoy being creative and imaginative with designs – which is why I think marketing will be a nice new experience to try something new!

Marketing (Performer)- Chloe Downie

TI - Chloe

I’m in charge of the social media, specifically our Facebook and Twitter page. This is an important part of attracting an audience as it allows us to promote our company to a mass audience and spread the word about our up and coming performances. These sites let people know how we are fundraising and marketing the production. With regular updates we can interest an audience.

  1. Hello Creative Ones… please tell me where to find costume designers who are most knowledgeable about the design history of Sci-Fi scary alien masks.

    I appreciate you help,
